The Highlight of the Rugby Season

If you want some excitement and drama during your European travels, the 6 Nation Championship should be something that you consider going to see. 6 Nations packages can really boost the entertainment value of your holiday so that you can really and truly enjoy yourself thoroughly. The 6 Nations Championship is the premier event on the European rugby circuit and is where the six best rugby teams in Europe pit themselves against each other for the title of European Rugby Champion.
There are six teams involved and these are Wales, England, Ireland, France, Scotland, and Italy. Each team plays a total of five games – every one against a different team.  There are no elimination matches, no semi-finals, etc. If you want to see Scotland play England during this championship, you really only have one shot. The number of points awarded depends on how well the teams perform – for a win they get 3 points, there are no points if they lose and, should the game be a tie, both teams will get one point. When the tournament is over and all the matches are played, the points are toted up and the winner is the team that scored the most number of points overall.

It may be difficult to choose which 6 Nations packages you want as there are a vast number of packages and a lot of these can easily be tailor made. To attend the whole tournament would be quite an investment in terms of time and money – there are 30 games in total so you may need to decide which games you really want to see and work from there. Your 6 Nations packages should include activities that are most of interest to you. Travel in Europe itself is not too difficult so you could, if you wanted to tour a bit of Europe, choose a match in a central location and set off on your holiday from there. Alternately, you could choose to visit a particular country and really explore it or you could choose to watch games that your team is playing in. The mind boggles at all the choices available when it comes to 6 Nations packages.

They can be a stretched out or curtailed – depending on what you are looking for. You can choose to just watch the match and forego the sightseeing if you want to. You can choose to extend your 6 Nations packages so that you can allocate more time to seeing the sights and enjoying the local culture.  You also now have a lot of choices when it comes to deciding on the type of holiday that you want to have – do you want a bare basics holiday that is very budget friendly or are you willing to part with a little more cash in order to enjoy five star luxury and all that that entails.  Do you want to be able to spend your time as you please or would you prefer a tour that lays out your schedule for you. There are so many choices available that even the fussiest of people will be able to get what they are looking for.
